We were so fortunate to have found Rachel LaMar when we started searching for our first home. Never [having bought] a home before, we had very little knowledge of what a good real estate agent really is. Also, with how easy it is now to look for homes online we first believed we didn’t need an agent. Boy, we were wrong! We met a a few good Realtors, at a few open houses we found on our own but weren’t having much luck. Finally, we contacted Rachel and we were interested in viewing a home. When we first met, she was very open and honest with the townhome we were looking at and I 100% loved that. She was totally transparent and you knew she knew what she was doing. We left on good terms and we were going to make an offer on the home. Long story short, she went over and beyond to make sure we got in the home we wanted. She actually called us to let us know the home we now own was on the market and guided us through each step to ensure we had everything we needed. In short, she was always on our side working to make our house purchase as simple and successful as possible. The best part about working with Rachel was that she was always more focused on answering our questions, giving us good advice, and finding homes that met our needs than she was on closing a deal. My husband and I were very inexperienced about selling our home. [Rachel] has the ability to use words to explain the steps needed to sell that made sense instead of “realtor words” that didn’t make sense. She was always prepared, patiently explaining comps in our area to justify the amount to list our house, and explained all the CA required forms we signed. [She] never belittled our ideas in staging our home. In the entire time working with Rachel she was always very positive. I can’t remember a time thru out the whole process of selling our home that she wasn’t available to us. Even when she went on a family vacation she kept in touch with us. The process of selling our home was very stressful for us as our house already fell out of escrow [different agent]. Once we received our last offer she let us know daily what was happening, kept us from getting scared or us asking her if we should reduce the price. She worked hard for the sale of our home because she believed in her in our home and did not back down to lower the price just to sell it. During the negotiation Rachel stayed strong in her knowledge of the area was able to justify the price with her negotiating experience. Now that our house has sold she could have said ‘see ya’ but she didn’t; Rachel still provided us with information necessary after the sale of our home. I can’t express enough about Rachel LaMar – her knowledge, her expertise, responsiveness, and negotiating skills made the process of selling our home a better experience.
