Vista
Vista is an eclectic city with a fantastic mild climate, located about 10-15 minutes inland from the beaches of Oceanside and Carlsbad. Close to the coast and bordering Carlsbad, San Marcos and Oceanside, Vista has a lot to offer, like dining, the arts and a charming Main Street. Another reason for Vista’s popularity with home buyers is country-style living. Many homes sit nestled in the foothills on large lots. Fruit trees are abundant, especially avocados, and pay homage to the agricultural history of the city. Driving through the hilly parts of Vista, it’s hard to believe you’re in San Diego County and not the countryside. Vista also offers smaller tract home communities, senior communities, condominiums and townhomes. There is a weekly Saturday Farmers Market and several golf courses within city limits. Vista is also home to several microbreweries and wineries, the Wave Waterpark, and the Moonlight Amphitheater, an outdoor music and arts venue. Home values on average tend to be comparatively lower in Vista than in coastal areas, so if you are looking for a large plot of land not too far from the beaches, or a smaller home for a lower price than the beach communities, Vista is a great place to consider.
